Site Design Studio (SDS) was engaged by the City of Asheville’s Parks & Recreation Department to evaluate and recommend improvements for facility / programming needs and develop a comprehensive park master plan for the Montford Complex improving vehicular circulation, address parking demands and accessibility, and providing enhancements for plaza, education, playground, viewing and existing active recreation facilities, proposed sidewalks, trailhead & trail connectivity, including emphasis on the neighborhoods’ history via the historic “Stump Town Nature Trail.”
